Valerie J. Brockman

Valerie J. Brockman, age 72, of Council Bluffs passed away March 2, 2017 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on November 11, 1944 to the late Russell and Beryle “Bud” (Grosvenor) Valentine. Valerie graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1962 and also that year she married her husband, Lyle. She was an artist, a musician, a reader, a dreamer and our world.

Valerie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lyle Brockman ; children, Jeffrey Brockman, JoAnna Letz (Mike), James Brockman; grandchildren, Victoria, Chase, Erik, Cole and Connor; great granddaughter, Valerie; aunt, Roberta Carver (Gail); a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. on Sunday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 1:00p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment is in Ridgewood Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Wings of Hope or the Kidney Foundation.
