Viola Taylor

Viola S. Taylor, age 96, of Council Bluffs passed away June 30, 2015 at home with her loving family at her side. She was born in Council Bluffs on April 27, 1919 to the late Frank and Rose Daugherty. Viola graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and then retired from the U.S. Geological Survey Service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Taylor; sisters, Leona Barker and Jere Stanzal; brothers, Jack Daugherty and Dwayne Daugherty. Viola is survived by her children, Brad Taylor and Tana Taylor; grandson, Chad Taylor and his wife Mandi; great grandchildren, Kendra and Samantha and sister, Wanda Hike. Funeral service is Friday 10:00a.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
