Vivian Bernadine Ravnsborg

Vivian Bernadine Ravnsborg (Peterson) passed into Eternal Life on October 1, 2016 at Bethany Heights in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She joins her loving husband in eternity with their Lord and Savior.
Vivian was born July 16, 1918, on the family farm near Turin, Iowa, the daughter of Nels and Olga (Nikoliasen) Peterson. She married Kermit Lyle Ravnsborg on November 9, 1940. Vivian was a devoted mother and grandmother, farm-wife, Postmaster, and faithful friend.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit, her parents and two brothers Nels Wilbur and Verl.
Vivian is survived by her four children: Jerry (Carol) Ravnsborg, Richard (Jeanne) Ravnsborg, Kathleen (Bill) Kruse, Elaine (Roger) Ingebritson, seven grandchildren: Amy (David) Magstadt, B.J. (Michelle) Ravnsborg, Jason Ravnsborg, Brian Kruse, Julie (Brian) Gould, John (Shannon) Ingebritson, and Annie (Robert) Erdmann, seven great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Florence Peterson.
Vivian moved to Bethany Heights in 2008 where she made many new friends and enjoyed frequent visits from nearby family. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Bethany Heights and St. Croix Hospice for their love and care.
Visitation will be on Wed, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., on Thursday at First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa, with visitation the hour prior to service. Interment will be in Belvidere Cemetery near Turin.
