W. Lyle Cody

W. Lyle Cody, age 90, of Council Bluffs passed away March 19, 2014. He was born in Pacific Junction, Iowa on September 23, 1923. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired as an electrician. Lyle is preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Cody; son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Jaye Cody; infant children, Kathy & Jimmy Cody; sisters, Vera Kellogg, Corrine Brewer and Maude Elaine Cody; brothers, Claude Cody and Warren Cody. Lyle is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Cody; son and daughter-in-law, Bob & Marsha Cody; daughter, Diane Cody; brother, W. Charles Cody; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation is Sunday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Private graveside service is Monday in the Glenwood, Iowa Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
