Walter F. Wright

Walter F. Wright, age 77, of Council Bluffs passed away February 28, 2016 at CHI Mercy Hospital. He was born in Council Bluffs on December 3, 1938 to the late Francis and Mabel (Saar) Wright. Walter was a carpenter for most of his working lifetime. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Tiny Wilcox and Kenneth Porky Wilcox. Walter is survived by his wife, Kathy Wright; son, Richard Wright; daughter, Anna Wright; sister, Molly Lewis; in-laws, Don and Pat Garrett; brothers-in-law, Gene Garrett and his wife Cathy, Kevin Garrett and his wife Deb; sister-in-law, Connie Garrett; grandchildren, Rikki Leigh and Rebecca Ann; great grandson, Noah David; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a luncheon in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Inurnment will be in Dow City, Iowa Cemetery at a later date. The family will direct memorials.
