Warren F. Jones

Warren F. Jones, age 73 of Council Bluffs passed away January 31, 2012 at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Warren was born November 27, 1938 in Lake City, Iowa, the youngest of 9 children born to Earl R. & Minnie (Pulleyblank) Jones. He grew up in Rockwell City, Iowa and received his education from Rockwell City Schools. He graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with a degree in graphic arts and later from Iowa Western Community College with an advanced degree in the same field. He was united in marriage to Norma Jean (Memken) on September 12, 1970 at Manson, Iowa. Warren was employed as a pressman for Acme Mail Advertising, Omaha Printing Company and retired from Modern Litho in 2005. Warren is preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Timothy Jones; 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Warren is survived by his wife of 41 years, Norma; daughter, Megan Jones; son, Matthew Jonesy Jones; 2 grandchildren, Dalen Jones and Alexandria Ford; sister, Lorna Koenck; many nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Warren will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. Visitation is Friday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral service is Saturday 10AM at the funeral home. Interment is in the Garner Township Cemetery followed by a reception in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. The family will direct memorials.
