William Kephart

William B. "Bill" Kephart, age 72, passed away peacefully at his home on October 20, 2023.

He was born January 5, 1951, to the late Glen and Dorothy (Boyd) Kephart in Council Bluffs, IA. Bill graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1969 and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Bill was a lifelong, self-taught musician. He began playing with the Kephart Band in the family owned Glass Front Tavern. He also played in many venues around the area, including nursing homes. Bill also enjoyed golfing and traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Lois; brothers, Bob, Glenn, Kenny, Richard, and Phillip.

William is survived by his wife, Raylene Kephart; children, Jolene (Jesse) Hansen, Billie Jo Kephart, Leo McIntosh, Clifford Coffelt Jr., Gordon Coffelt, Donald Coffelt, Toni (Mark) Scheffler, Tracy Tiffey, and Tammy (Harold) McCormick; brother, Steve (Sandy) Kephart; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Sunday, October 29, 2023. The family will direct memorials.
