Winifred C. Sage

Winifred C. Sage, age 84, of Council Bluffs passed away at her home on October 5, 2018.

She was born in Omaha on February 10, 1934 to the late William P. and Agnes W. (Hourigan) McCafferty.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Phillip and Debbie Hering; brother, Joseph Boyd; brothers-in-law, Tom Nastase and Jack Zimmerman.

Winifred in survived by her husband, William Sage; children, William and Linda Sage, Susan and Jeff Kruse, Thomas and Tracy Sage; sisters, Peggy Hoskins (Marty), Geraldine Zimmerman, Mary Nastase, Kathleen Griffith (Dick); brother, William McCafferty (Mary); sister-in-law, Linda Boyd; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.

Vigil service is 5:30p.m. followed by visitation until 8:00p.m. on Wednesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00a.m. on Thursday at Corpus Christi Queen of Apostles Catholic Church. Interment is in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Corpus Christi, St. Albert Schools, Alzheimer’s Association or the First Responders Foundation.
