Zachary James Butcher, age 28, passed away April 9, 2019 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 8, 1990 to Brian and Deborah (Kimminau) Butcher. Zac graduated from St. Albert High School, in Council Bluffs, with the class of 2008. He then went to Midland University for 1 year where he played football. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. Zac married Lindsey Nelson on November 6, 2017. "Zac pushed me to be a better person and I am forever grateful for that and for the greatest gift he ever gave me, his love."
In addition to his wife, Lindsey, Zac is survived by his father, Brian (Cindy) Butcher; mother, Debbie Butcher; brothers, Matthew Butcher and Justin (Rosalie) Butcher; grandparents, James and Elsie Kimminau; parents-in-law, Ed and Connie Nelson; brother-in-law, Robb Nelson; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Monday, 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Omaha National Cemetery.
